NEW SOUNDTRACK
"HELL IS OTHER PEOPLE OUT IN MAY 2011 "
Lately, Alex
Puddu has been working on the original soundtrack for a new Danish
short titled Hell is Other People (Du ved godt du drømmer)
directed by Nanna Kari Jensen.
The drama is based on the true story of the life and delusions
of Jens, a young man who suffers from schizophrenia. The soundtrack
- performed, produced, and recorded entirely by Alex Puddu - experiments
with new sounds.
During the recording process he has used all kinds of lo-fi instruments
and tape effects as well as homemade ambient percussion in a psycho/blues
mood. The album will be released on vinyl and digital download
in May 2011.
NEW SOUNDTRACK

Alex Puddu
wrote the score for a Danish post-apocalyptic film entitled Eastern
Army.
The film is directed by Philip Th. Pedersen, starring David Sakurai
and Danny Thykær. Eastern Army is nominated in four categories
at the "Action On Film International Filmfestival" in
Los Angeles on July 23rd - 30th.
NEW ALBUM FROM
ALEX PUDDU AND THE BUTTERFLY COLLECTORS OUT IN MARCH
The band's
fifth album, Myrrh, will be out March 1st. In the meantime,

COMING UP
Alex will
be presenting a new esibition of his work under the title "Peccati
e Confessioni" (Sins and Confessions). friday the 6 November
at 20 pm at Kulturhuset islands Brygge Copenhagen
NEWS FROM BAD BOYS OF 79
Bad Boys of
79 are going to perform live at Open House in Århus Friday
the 6 February supporting the danish rock/electronica band Carpark
North. Bad Boys of 79 will be playng a brand new set including
tracks from the debut album "Evil leads the dance,early material
from Puddu varano and some new songs

and the Butterfly Collectors have just finished their fourth album,
entitled "Mechanism and Technique", to be released November
13th on Al Dente Music.
The album features guest appearances by vocalists of the Danish
alternative and pop scene such as: Silas Bjerregaard (Turbo Weekend),
Esben Busck (Factory 45), Tobias Buch-Andersen (Maborosi), Jackie
Larsen (The Breakers), Kenneth Thordal, Duane Hobson, and Mathilde
Lunderskov
NEW ALBUM FROM ALEX PUDDU AND THE BUTTERFLY COLLECTORS
For the
moment, Alex Puddu is working on a new album with Alex Puddu and
The Butterfly Collectors. This will be the band's fourth album,
following the jazzy-cinematic debut "Chasing the Scorpion's
Tail", the singer/song writing mood of "The Silence
of the Sun and the Rhythm of the Rain", and the deep and
dark moods of "Song for the Sleepers " For this new
album, which will feature a couple of guest vocalists, Alex is
going for a more electronic touch combined with soul elements.
The album is scheduled to be released in November 2008.
BAD BOYS
OF 79 NEW ALBUM OUT IN MARCH
Alex Puddu
has just finished recording an album with his new electronica
project "Bad Boys Of '79".
The album will be out in March in a limited stock of 100 vinyl
copies and will be available in cd format on alex new Record Label
"Al Dente". The album features several guests performances
by artists such as Lasse Storm (the voice of Sha la las), Morten
Dahlhoff (bass player of Skywriter), and Alex Puddu's partner
in crime Justin Shønning. Last, but certainly not least,
Peter Peter (former member of Sort Sol and Bleeder)appear on guitar
on one of the track of the album.

FROM ALEX PUDDU IN 2008
For the
past few months Alex Puddu has been working on different studio
projects, and in the upcoming year the musician/composer/producer
will release 3 albums under different names. The new electro/flame
project Beat me up Baby with partner Justin Schøning, Bad
Boys of 79 (electrofunk/Breakbeats) and a new album with the band
Alex Puddu and the Butterfly Collectors.
LAST LIVE
PERFORMANCE?
Alex Puddu
and the Butterfly collectors will perform probably for the last
time this year,on Thursday.March 22nd at Rust,Copenhagen.Lately,Alex
is been working on new material and the sound is sure going to
be a lot more electronic/pop/experimental than the previous albums.It
has not yet been decided whether these new songs will appear on
the next Alex Puddu and the Butterfly collectors album or whether
they will be part of a brand new project
BEAT ME
UP BABY
At the
moment, Alex is concentrating on his new electro/club project
Beat me Up Baby together with is friend and co- producer Justin
Schøning.The band will do their very first show at the
Danish Deejay Awards on march 29th.On april 18th the duo will
be throwing a release party and doing a live set on Stengade 30,
Copenhagen together with the DJ crew Kerne familien.Watch the
